My love and fascination for pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding began with the conception of my own children. I struggled with breastfeeding and learned and received enormous support from La Leche League. I became a La Leche League Leader and volunteered for 7 years. At the same time, I began my work as a Birth Doula.

In 2008, I passed the IBCLC exam and received my certification as a Board Certified Lactation Consultant. This is the gold standard for Lactation Consultants. I have been happily doing lactation consults since then. I teach Breastfeeding classes at Birthways in Berkeley.

I hold membership in the following organizations: Bay Area Lactation Associates, Doulas of North America, International Lactation Consultant Association, and La Leche League International.
